The JP Korsteel Stainless Steel Corkscrew Mouth Dee Ring Snaffle Bit has a single jointed curved mouthpiece designed to reduce the "nutcracker" action and to alleviate pressure on the tongue and bars of the mouth while avoiding direct contact with the roof of the horse's mouth. The corkscrew mouthpiece creates variable pressure points on the bars making this a stronger bit type. The Dee ring design compromises between an eggbutt and a full cheek snaffle, preventing pinching at the corners of the mouth.
