Basting prevents problems while machine sewing and makes it a heck of a lot easier to sew seams, edges, etc. than using pins to hold your parts in place. Not to mention messy glues! Perfect for hand sewing and lacing, and also excellent for attaching zipper tape! Strong and invisible, this basting tape is a Mylar film, double-sided tape (with adhesive on both sides). It's intended to be left permanently in place, so you don't have to worry about cleaning up or how to remove it. To use, just stick the tape along your edge, cut off the length required, then simply pull off the Mylar film, fold your edge over and presto! Your edge is fastened and ready to sew!
