Associations make an important contribution to society and strengthen the sense of community and belonging. They facilitate various sports, cultural and musical events and offer a wide range of leisure activities.
Calw is proud of its cultural diversity and the colorful range of clubs and associations. Whether sports, leisure or music, and many other offers – guaranteed there is something for you and your children!

Exercise, training and event rooms
According to the occupancy schedules prepared by the city, clubs can book halls and rooms for practice, training and education. The provisions of the regulations on use and charges apply.
Every club in Calw receives a booking voucher of 400€ for the online booking system once a year.
Association promotion
The city of Calw is committed to maintaining the large number and diversity of associations. With the club promotion the local clubs are supported.
Eligible are sports, music, cultural and environmental associations as well as other associations. The focus is particularly on children’s and youth work. This means that grants can be applied for for qualified exercise instructors in the children’s and youth area. For further funding opportunities and application deadlines, please refer to the guidelines for association funding.

Sports honor
The sportsmanship ceremony is held to recognize the achievements of athletes. The honor is presented annually at the city’s New Year’s reception on January 6. Here, the Lord Mayor congratulates the athletes on their outstanding sporting achievements of the past year.
