Training and internship
With a total of approximately 30 apprenticeship positions in various areas as well as internships, the City of Calw offers a wide range of opportunities to start your career. We want to make it easier for you to get started, accompany you during your training and offer you prospects afterwards.
As a rule, you can apply each year from around the beginning of July to the beginning/middle of September for the advertised apprenticeships starting in the next training year. As a rule, training starts every year on September 1.
Bachelor of Arts – Dual courses of study
There are very many different tasks in the public service. This means that there are numerous opportunities open to you after graduation: whether in the area of public order, the environment, planning and construction, culture and tourism, or organization, personnel, finance and local politics – here, everyone really does find their field of expertise.
The bachelor’s degree program in Public Management prepares students for senior and leadership positions in local and state government. The course of study, which has a strong emphasis on law as well as economics, social sciences and local government, is characterized by its close integration with practice.
With the bachelor’s degree program “Digital Administration Management” we are starting into the future together! This degree program combines the technical dimensions of digitization with administrative management and the legal foundations of public administration. After successful completion, you will be part of the digital leadership and can advance the digital transformation in municipalities and in the country!
