Youth participation takes place in Calw in the form of a youth advisory council. Children and young people from the community are elected to this body or are sent by the school, for example, as student representatives.
The Youth Advisory Council represents the interests of children and young people in city politics. He communicates his wishes and concerns directly to the municipal council and the mayor. Together with the adults, good solutions to the problems are sought. It also gives young people a direct right to speak and be heard on their issues in the local council.
